Space Inventory 2018

Annual Update

The official campus space inventory is updated annually from October through early November. Department space coordinators should update their space inventories to reflect the assignment, predominant use, occupancy and station count on the date of record, which is the fifteenth day of instruction of the fall quarter. This year, the date of record to use for the space inventory is October 16th, 2018.

Department space coordinators are encouraged to update their room data throughout the coming year.

Annual Update

The official campus space inventory is updated annually from October through early November. Department space coordinators should update their space inventories to reflect assignment, predominant use, occupancy and station count on the date of record. This year the date of record is October 17th, 2017, the fifteenth day of instruction of the fall quarter.

Our office must submit updated building and room files to the UC Office of the President in December. The deadline for completing your department space inventory is November 14th, 2017.

In October, Capital and Space Planning asked department space coordinators to update their space inventories to reflect assignment, predominant use, occupancy and station count on the date of record. This year the date of record is October 11th, 2016, the fifteenth day of instruction of the fall quarter.

2016 F & A Space Survey is Underway

Every 4-6 years UC Davis performs a Space Functional Use Survey. The space survey is administered by A&FS Costing Policy & Analysis and is conducted through FacilitiesLink. The space survey results are one of the most scrutinized portions of the (F&A) Rate Audit by the Federal Government, and having quality data is critical to the negotiation of the indirect costs rate that is applied to sponsored projects.
